Jessie Koen appointed as unremunerated professor on the chair ‘Work Design for Continuous Learning & Innovation’

Jessie Koen is appointed as unremunerated professor on the chair ‘Work Design for Continuous Learning & Innovation’ at the Faculty of Behavioural, Management & Social Sciences.

Jessie currently works at TNO, where she examines the impact of (technological) innovations on work and labour market, and how this impact can be shaped to benefit both workers and organisations. She holds a PhD in organisational psychology.

Prof. Dr. Jessie Koen

Jessie on her appointment

“When we think about technological innovations in the workplace, we often treat their impact on work as something predetermined. In reality, the design of work itself plays a crucial role in shaping that impact. This chair makes it possible to understand and design work in ways that enable people to learn and innovate, and to ensure that technological change contributes to both high-quality work and organisational performance.”

Prof. Dr. Jessie Koen

With clear vision Jessie is an excellent fit with the Professional Learning and Technology (PLT) section. By bridging her work at TNO with the University of Twente, she strengthens (future) collaborations for BMS and contributes to impactful research on sustainable technological transformation.
