Successful first edition of the Twente Health School

From 18 to 20 May, the first edition of the Twente Health School took place at DesignLab. Under the theme Shaping the Future of Health: from concept to impact, PhD candidates, master's students and early-career researchers explored how technology, data and societal challenges are shaping the future of health.

During the three-day programme, participants engaged with topics such as AI in healthcare, data science, ethics, implementation and responsible innovation. Through keynotes, interactive sessions and hands-on workshops, they gained new insights and connected with researchers from a wide range of disciplines.

The Twente Health School, organised by the BMS Health research theme, received very positive feedback. No less than 87% of participants rated the programme as “very good” or “excellent”, while 80% said they would definitely recommend the Health School to colleagues and peers.

“Our goal was to create an interdisciplinary programme that enables researchers to explore the future of health from different perspectives. The positive feedback shows there is a clear need for this. Participants particularly appreciated the combination of in-depth content and opportunities to build new connections.”
