Ton Mouthaan, former Dean of the Faculties of EEMCS and BMS, swims a part in the Eleven-cities-swim tour Maarten van der Weyden Foundation

Olympic champion and long-distance swimmer Maarten van de Weyden will swim the Frisian ‘Elfstedentocht’ / 11-cities-swim tour at the end of August. 200 km of uninterrupted swimming in a great action to raise money for cancer research. As a fanatic swimmer and water polo player, Ton Mouthaan plans to swim 2 km starting from Workum.

The Eleven City Swim Tour

Maarten van de Weyden is the former Olympic champion 10 km he swam after being cured of leukemia. He will swim the 11 Frisian cities, a distance of 200 km, in one trip and invites as many people as possible to partly swim and be sponsored. Read more information on the website regarding sponsorship.
