Because of his scientific achievements and contributions to the UT, the Executive Board appointed Prof.dr.ir. Peter-Paul Verbeek as Distinguished University Professor, as of 1 December 2018.
His dedication to the relationship and integration of the connection between Technology and Society make Peter-Paul a true figurehead and ambassador for the University of Twente. He has been able to showcase the importance of this relationship scientifically and publically, and translate it to a broad scientific, professional and general public.
