Kim Schildkamp elected as president of ICSEI

Dr. Kim Schildkamp was elected as president of the International Congress of School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI). From now through 2018, she will serve as president-elect alongside the current president, renowned professor Andy Hargreaves. From January 2019 she will take over the role of ICSEI president.

ICSEI is a global community bringing together policy makers, researchers and practitioners from over 80 countries in the ICSEI community to share cutting edge knowledge and powerful practice with the goal of improving education for all. Every year an ICSEI conference takes place in a different part of the world, focused on sharing knowledge on school effectiveness and school improvement (e.g., how to improve the quality of teaching and learning). Partnerships and quality decision-making are strengths of ICSEI, and there are numerous of opportunities for policy makers, practitioners and researchers to challenge and support one another in improving the quality of education in and between conferences. Kim has been an ICSEI member since 2004, joined its board in 2011, served as Network Coordinator (2013-2016), and is founder and chair of the ICSEI Data Use Network (2010-current). She looks forward to serving the ICSEI community.
