Dr. Meltem Irmak is a researcher at the department of Mathematics and Science Education at Gazi University in Turkey. She earned her B.Sc. M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Science Education from Middle East Technical University. She received awards and scholarships during his doctoral studies including the METU Thesis of the Year Award in 2012. She is awarded a grant by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey in 2020 to conduct postdoctoral research at University of Twente. Her research interests are technological pedagogical content knowledge, teacher metacognition, teacher education and socioscientific issues teaching.
