Prof.dr. Pigneur, co-author of Business Model Generation: A Handbook for Visionaries, Game Changers, and Challengers by Alexander Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur
You may have heard of the Business Model Canvas or you may even apply the Canvas in your projects. This is your chance to attend a seminar by the co-creator, listen to his latest views on business modeling and exchange ideas on applying Business Modeling in practice.
The seminar aims at presenting the Business Model Canvas for designing, assessing and challenging business models. Business model innovation and industry changes will be illustrated with examples such as airBnB, Grameen Phone and SunEdisson. Design thinking attitude and customer centricity will also be emphasized for exploring, prototyping and testing business models. Furthermore, business model mechanics, economics and layering will be shortly presented and illustrated.
Dr. Yves Pigneur is professor at the University of Lausanne, and has served as visiting professor at Georgia State University, University of British Columbia, National University of Singapore, and HEC Montréal. He is editor-in-chief of the academic journal "Systèmes d’Information & Management (SIM)
The department of Industrial Engineering and Business Information Systems (IEBIS) of the university of Twente invites you to this seminar. The seminar is linked to the PhD project of Lucas Meertens who defends his PhD thesis “Relating Business Modelling and Enterprise Architecture”. You are also welcome to attend this event.

Costs for attending are €150,- including lunch, a copy of the book Business Model Generation: A Handbook for Visionaries, Game Changers, and Challengers and a copy of the PhD book Relating Business Modelling and Enterprise Architecture.
