This research stream is focusing on one of today’s major paradigm shifts within HRM, which originated in the believe that “the traditional service-oriented HR focus must be extended to a ‘decision science’ that enhances decisions about human capital” (Boudreau & Ramstad, 2005, p. 129). As a result of this development, HR Analytics is one of the buzzwords in today’s HRM practice. CHROs and HR managers predict a promising future for HR Analytics. However, the development of the HR Analytics capability within the HR function is still in its childhood. Sample questions therefore are: what capabilities are needed in conducting HR Analytics? What does the future of HR Analytics look like in terms of application, organization and IT support? How to implement HR Analytics? How do employees react on HR Analytics? How far can we go?
