When a student thinks he or she should be granted an extra exam or test opportunity for a specific course or part of a module he/she must submit a request to the examination board. If the examination board grants an extra exam opportunity the aim is to have the student use a regularly scheduled exam or test opportunity. Sometimes it is necessary to extend the validity of positive results of other parts of the module to the next academic year. In some cases, when students have almost finished their entire degree programme and waiting for the next regular exam/test for their last unit of study causes unreasonably large delay (this is specified as 6 months), the board can decide (under conditions) to grant an extra exam opportunity outside of the regular schedule.
All information about extra exam opportunities can be found on the page for students: 'Submit a request'.
