Brayton Noll, PhD candidate

E: b.l.noll@utwente.nl

Brayton Noll is a Ph.D researcher at CSTM. His supervisor is Professor Tatiana Filatova.

The project Brayton is working on will examine factors that influence individuals' decisions when they are faced with (the threat of) flooding and identify any patterns in the behavior. To do so he will conduct multiple waves of surveys in four international cities that will monitor how individuals' responses evolve over time and with changing circumstances.

One of the main research objectives is to identify factors contributing to, and hindering, effective adaptation. As such, the project will explore links between individual behavior, resilience, and flood damages in order to better understand what individual adaptation looks like over time.
