This is Mohammad Assaduzzaman (nick name Asad) from Bangladesh. He did his Bachelor in Agricultural Science and Masters in Environmental Science from Bangladesh and then studied South Asian Studies and Plant Ecology and Systematics at Lund University in Sweden. He has more than eight years of working experiences with research and development organizations working in Bangladesh; including DFID (UK Department for International Development) and GTZ (German Technical Cooperation / German Development Cooperation). He worked in the field of Disaster Management / Disaster Risk Reduction, Sustainable Environment and Agricultural Development and Climate Change. He is also experienced working for the biodiversity in coastal zones. He keeps in touch with various agencies and institutes working in the research and development sector in Bangladesh. He received several trainings in his working areas. He is also member of agricultural and disaster management professional bodies.
In June 2010, he officially joined CSTM to do his PhD research. His PhD research will be focused on Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction. The research will be mainly focused on developing a toolkit for better water management and disaster risk reduction to build climate resilient communities in Bangladesh. His research is supervised by Professor Dr. Jon C. Lovett.
