Research

Joris van Hoof’s research interests involve compliance issues in both professional and private contexts. In organizations varying legislation might be active, to which employees should comply. This involves the compliance with age-limits for the sales of risky products (alcohol, tobacco, gambling products, marijuana), the supply of information when selling risky products (drugs), safety behavior (production industry, construction, health care), corporate visual identity, protocols (retail, health care, teaching) and norms (bullying, stealing).

The past years a large body of expertise was built in the field of compliance with age limits and the sales of risky products. The more fundamental interests of Joris van Hoof are in explaining and influencing compliance behavior.
