On behalf of the Flemish Education & Training Department, CHEPS finalized an evaluation study in December 2018 into the way in which the five Flemish universities divide the government grant for education and research across the various faculties within their universities. The question was how the internal allocation models that are used for this look like. The study pays attention to the parameters included in these models, in particular the subject cost weights that express cost differences between the different scientific disciplines. The evaluation also addresses the financing of a new type of university degree programmes, the academically driven programmes previously offered by the universities of applied sciences and now part of the universities’ educational offerings. Evaluatie van de interne allocatiemodellen van de Vlaamse universiteiten
In opdracht van het Vlaamse Departement Onderwijs & Vorming heeft CHEPS in december 2018 een evaluatieonderzoek afgerond naar de wijze waarop de vijf Vlaamse universiteiten de middelen verkregen van de Vlaamse overheid voor onderwijs en onderzoek verdelen over de faculteiten. De vraag was hoe de interne allocatiemodellen die hierbij worden gebruikt eruitzien. De doorlichting richtte zich in het bijzonder op de in die modellen gehanteerde verdeelsleutels en de wijze waarop rekening wordt gehouden met de kostprijsverschillen tussen de verschillende wetenschapsgebieden. Ook schenkt de evaluatie aandacht aan de financiering van de academische hogeschoolopleidingen die m.i.v. 2013 zijn overgeheveld naar de universiteiten.
