Staff members are also actively involved in developing activities that contribute to DE&I by using internal resources available within the UT. In recent years, staff members have submitted applications for the UT Incentive Fund, a resource that supports activities promoting the diversity, equity and inclusion of students and employees at UT. Examples of accepted proposals include a project from Dr Long which developed an anti-racist training workshop series that helps participants recognize and address internalized racism. Another project from Dr. Bouzguenda’s aimed to organise a sports day initiative specifically aimed at supporting Muslim female students, to address withdrawal from practicing sports. Furthermore, staff members are also committed to supporting diversity through academic service within the UT community, such as serving as board members of the Female Faculty Network Twente)
