Before filling out the webform for the examination board be aware that we will check the grades in Osiris. You have to make sure the grades are visible and up to date. Due to some changes in the BIT programme as of 1 September 2026 we decided that the following transitions can be made for module 1 and 2:
Dispensation for BIT study units can only be granted if the corresponding TCS Programming study units are registered in Osiris with a grade of 5.5 or higher.
Module 1:
- Computational Thinking (202600068): students who passed Software Diamond (202500331) can receive dispensation.
- Information and Retrieval – test Databases (202600069): students who passed Information Diamond (202500332) can receive dispensation.
- Information and Retrieval – test Operating Systems & Networks (202600069): students who passed Hardware Diamond (202500333) can receive dispensation.

Module 2:
- System Design (202600071): students who passed Software Design and Modelling (202500341) can receive dispensation.
- Note: the BIT course contains a separate project component. If the project of TCS M2 has not been completed, students are required to complete System Design project.
- Principles of Object-Oriented Systems (202600072): students who passed Introduction to Programming (202500342) can receive dispensation.
- Advanced Topics in Programming (202600073): students who passed Advanced Programming (202500343) and Software Systems Implementation Project (202500344) can receive dispensation. (No particial grades will be transferred)

- When multiple TCS results are combined into one BIT study unit, each individual test grade must be at least a 5.5, leading to a passing result in BIT.
- Students who have passed one or more components of Module 4 will have these results transferred to the corresponding courses in the revised curriculum.
- Students who started the BIT programme in the 2025–2026 academic year will have their results transferred to Module 4.
- Students who started in the 2026–2027 academic year will have their results transferred to Module 8, where applicable.
- Note: a compensated 5 (C5) cannot be transferred to BIT.
To ensure a smooth transition, it is important that we are aware of your personal situation. You may already have had meetings with your Study Adviser. We would like to ask for your permission to transfer relevant information from the TCS Study Adviser to the BIT Study Adviser. This information will be treated confidentially and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
You can request the transfer of the following courses via the Examination Board:
