The EER contains the official regulations governing the Bachelor Applied Physics programme. It describes the structure of the programme, assessment procedures, examination requirements, and the rights and obligations of students. The EER consists of an Institutional section (Student Charter), a general faculty's section, and a programme-specific section. The Rules of the Board of Examinators AP provide further details on the implementation of the EER.
The EER is established annually in accordance with the Dutch Higher Education and Research Act (WHW) and is developed with input from the Programme Committee including student and staff representatives.
Students are strongly encouraged to consult the EER whenever they have questions about programme requirements, examinations, assessments, or graduation.
The Examination Board is responsible for safeguarding the quality of examinations and ensuring that the EER is applied correctly and consistently. Its Rules and Regulations describe how the Examination Board carries out its duties and provide further information on topics such as requests, exemptions, fraud and plagiarism, and examination-related procedures. In addition, the Examination Board maintains a list of approved Applied Physics examiners who may act as chair and/or committee member in Bachelor's and Master's thesis committees, supervise internships, and serve as examiner for Applied Physics courses within their area of expertise.
Students who deviate from the standard curriculum of their cohort must submit a Study Programme Approval Form. Through this form, the Examination Board assesses whether the proposed individual study programme satisfies the graduation requirements of the Bachelor Applied Physics programme. Until cohort 2026, these forms will be in Dutch.
