El Niño provides additional scholarship to Kipaji Scholarship Fund

The Kipaji Scholarship Fund is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and supports talented students from developing countries in studying at the University of Twente. This support is essential, as costs for non-EU students are very high.

Thanks to contributions from alumni, scholarships are awarded annually. This year, the fund received an additional boost from Enschede-based IT company El Niño, which is funding a scholarship of €10,000 per year for two years. “We wanted to give something back to the UT and to future students,” says director and alumnus Michael Angelo Meyer. Thanks to this contribution, a student from Pakistan will begin the Nanotechnology programme this September.
