UT Founders Behind 250+ Active Companies Worldwide

“Dé ondernemende universiteit” — the University of Twente lives up to its reputation. A recent inventory identified over 250 active companies founded or co-founded by UT alumni, students, or staff, operating in the Netherlands and around the world.

This overview highlights the university’s strong entrepreneurial ecosystem and is showcased in a short video below.

The list was compiled by the Alumni Office and includes founders who are alumni, (former) staff, or (former) students of the University of Twente, and who identify on LinkedIn as (co-)founders or owners of active companies with three or more employees.

Among the startups founded this year are AquaWomb (Myrthe van der Ven), Heyoo.ai (Bart Jochems), Invo (Gracjan Chmielnicki), Kilo Code (Sid Sijbrandij), and SpySecure® (Erwin Sikma).
