4TU.Alumni Online Event - Back to the Nordics

Join an online gathering on Wednesday, June 10, for alumni across the Nordics.

During the interactive programme from 19:30 till 21:30 CEST we will put a spotlight on local alumni impact through short interviews with:

- Nick Burlet, a TU/e alumnus now doing his PhD at DTU in Denmark, will talk about his research on developing a safer, more affordable treatment for snakebite victims across sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on neutralizing the venoms of the most medically relevant elapid species, including cobras and mambas.

- Myrte van der Ree, a TU Delft alumna, is based in Norway where she is a Project Engineering Manager at Subsea 7. She has spent nearly two decades working on complex subsea infrastructure projects across the world. Myrte will share insights about building a career in that sector and what it means to make Stavanger home.

There will also be updates from the Delft, Eindhoven, Twente, and Wageningen campuses.

The session wraps up with breakout borrels, a great chance to catch up with familiar faces, meet new ones, and exchange tips about life in the Nordics!

This online edition has special roots. The Nordics were at the heart of the very first 4TU online alumni event, held on 26 March 2020, when planned gatherings in Helsinki, Stockholm, and Stavanger moved online almost overnight. Fifty alumni joined that evening, and what started as an improvised solution turned into a format that connected our alumni communities worldwide.
