In 2026, the UT will celebrate its 13^th lustrum. This time, we are combining the Lustrum Alumni Day with the legendary Batavierenrace!

a two-day event: the Lustrum Alumni days

Traditionally, the University of Twente organises a Lustrum Alumni Day every lustrum. All alumni are invited to return to Drienerlo for an inspiring homecoming. This year, instead of organizing a single day event, the UT will host a two-day event. On Friday and Saturday, we will organise a festive and inspiring programme on campus. The activities are designed so that the entire UT Alumni Community, young alumni, mid-career alumni, pioneers and former employees can join in the activities they prefer.

About the Batavieren race

The 54th Batavierenrace

This year, the Batavierenrace is back in all its glory. With an organising committee of six people, a lot of hard work is being done behind the scenes to make the 54th edition another great success.

On Friday 8 May 2026, the starting shot will be fired in Nijmegen, and on 9 May, it will finish in Enschede. In 25 stages, the runners will cover 175 km through the beautiful countryside of the Netherlands and Germany, before concluding the relay race with the biggest student party in the Netherlands!
