Tim Post (Linkedin) graduated (cum laude) with a degree in Educational Science & Technology (2009) at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. His thesis was concerned with using guided questioning as a supportive measure to foster reflection and knowledge construction in inquiry-based learning environments.
During graduation, Tim participated in a European research project called "CoReflect" aiming to support and further develop reflective inquiry learning in science education. He coordinated and supported the design of various inquiry learning environments in close collaboration with researchers, instructional designers, domain experts, in-service and pre-service teachers.
Tim currently works as a PhD student at the University of Twente and is focused on a longitudinal study into the effects of school and teacher development on the development of children’s talents, attitudes, motivations and mindsets in context of (design-based) inquiry learning and their related future career choices.
Tim is also founding director of Snoozon, providing worldwide training on the topic of lucid dreaming (in Dutch: lucide dromen). Lucid dreaming is a scientifically studied state of night dreaming (REM sleep) in which one attains awareness of a dream while dreaming. Lucid dreamers can learn to deliberately influence dream content in pursuit of shaping any meaningful dream experience that they are able to conceive while dreaming. Potentially, lucid dreams can be used to enjoy psychological advantages and improved well-being in light of everyday life challenges and goals (e.g., creative problem-solving, rehearsal, stress reduction).
