ACCESS TO MASTER’S PROGRAMMES

Graduates of the Bachelor’s programme in Electrical Engineering have automatic entry to the Master of Science programmes in Electrical Engineering, Systems and Control, Embedded Systems and Nanotechnology. Ohter Master’s programmes might have extra requirements upon entering the programme. More information about the Master’s programmes at the University of Twente: www.utwente.nl/master.

TRAINEESHIP (ABROAD)

The traineeship or external training is part of most Master’s programmes and offers the possibility to go abroad. For more information about the external training / traineeship you can contact coordinator Maarten Korsten: m.j.korsten@utwente.nl

TEACHING DEGREE

After your Bachelor in Electrical Engineering it is also possible to obtain a Dutch teaching degree in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science at the ELAN institute. Part of this study programme can also be completed during the minor in your third year of the Bachelor. More information about obtaining a teaching degree: www.utwente.nl/elan.

LABOUR MARKET OPTIONS

As the Bachelor’s-Master’s structure is relatively new, the labour market is not yet fully aware of the potential of graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Furthermore, most Bachelor students decide to complete a Master before heading onto the labour market.
