Julieta Matos Castano, MSc -


Julieta is a PhD researcher working on the STW program “Integral and sustainable design of multifunctional flood defenses”. Her project aims to develop a participatory approach for Social Cost Benefit Analysis to promote shared understanding among stakeholders about the socio economic impacts of multifunctional flood defenses.

She started her PhD after finishing the MSc in Construction Management and Engineering offered by the University of Twente. In the CME department, she has been involved in research projects evaluating Public Private Partnerships in the Netherlands and internationally, the IIT Madras amongst others. 

Julieta is mainly interested in supporting stakeholders to deliver projects that bring the best benefit to society and the environment, and to find strategies that promote collaboration between the public and private sector.
