WiBRATE project on Euronews

The development of systems to monitor vibrating structures using autonomous wireless sensors is the topic of the European FP7 project WiBRATE in which Applied Mechanics – Dynamics Based Maintenance and the Pervasive Systems research group of the EWI faculty have joined their forces. The EU has recently recognised the importance of this research project and made news item on Euronews. The video can be found here.

Andrea Sanchez, PhD of Applied Mechanics – Dynamics Based Maintenance further highlights the relevance of vibration monitoring in the short “Do you know” communication entitled “can machinery speak?

The article dedicated to WIBRATE project, named “Picking up on bad vibrations” is published on CORDIS, DAE and on Neelie Kroes’s website.
