TriboForm Engineering, located in Enschede, is the winner of the Starters International Business Award 2015. This young spin-off company from the Nonlinear Solid Mechanics research chair, develops software for the simulation of friction, lubrication and wear in production processes. They deliver easy-to-use software for the automotive and metal processing industry. The Volvo Car Group and Daimler AG are, amongst other companies, customer of TriboForm Engineering.
TriboForm Engineering was the jury’s favourite over the others on the long list of nominees, as was announced during the finale event in the pop-podium Metrolpool in Hengelo. “Our ambitions are huge and this starters award can help to realise these ambitions”, says director Jan Harmen Wiebenga. TriboForm receives support for the internationalisation activities from WTC-Twente by means of a coaching program for international entrepreneurship.
The WTC-Twente Starters International Business Award is an initiative of the business society of WTC-Twente and is awarded to a company that is strongly profiling itself in the international community. The jury judges the nominees primarily on export strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship, ambition, vision and result.

The mission of the World Trade Center Twente (WTC-Twente) is to support companies in their internationalisation efforts. Companies from the east part of The Netherlands, as well as companies from the German part of the Euregio area, stretching to Münster and Osnabrück, can apply for the services of WTC-Twente. WTC-Twente is part of the World Trade Center Association (WTCA), a worldwide network of 750,000 companies, located in 324 cities in nearly 100 counrties.
