Port Asset Life Cycle Management

Researcher: Reinier Reijnhoudt
Project Duration: May 2009 – July 2009
Project Partner: Iter Fidelis

Project Description:

As transport hubs in transport networks ports are important for the economy of a region or country and thus it is important to maintain ports in an optimal way. Mapping and prioritizing risks is essential for determining the optimal maintenance strategy. There are many methods available for mapping and prioritizing risks. The method of Iter Fidelis and a Failure Mode and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) are two examples.

The objective of this research is to investigate how the method of Iter Fidelis stands opposite from FMECA by investigating possibilities and chances for optimizing the method of Iter Fidelis.
