Research

·

Supply Chain Management &BIM (in cooperation with CME colleague Dr. Hans Voordijk)

This research program focuses on the development and implementation of BIM working practices in design and construction stages of construction projects to plan, optimise, monitor and control cooperation (processes) between contractors and suppliers. An important issue in this context are the change management aspects i.e. under which behavioural, social and organisational conditions can these working practices be implemented successfully in the entire supply chain?

·

Object-oriented Life-cycle Requirements and Performance Management (in cooperation with CME colleagues Dr. Timo Hartmann and Dr.ir. Bram Entrop)

Design, build, operate, and maintain projects potentially allow for a systematic management of a facility's functional requirements throughout its life-cycle. In this research program, ICT systems and working practices will be developed that link building requirements with design criteria and later the real performance of the facility. In addition, this research addresses the social, behavioural and organisational conditions that need to be secured to implement and use these ICT systems successfully.
