Evaluation of tendon transposition with use experiment data and a lower extremity musculoskeletal model.

The Twente Lower Extremity Model (TLEM) is a musculoskeletal model of the lower extremities, which can be used to calculate muscle activation patterns from movement and ground reaction force data. The subject of this master thesis is to predict the effect muscle tendon transposition in subjects with partial paralysis of the abduction muscles. For this purpose movement and ground reaction force data of patients who suffer from partial paralysis after a total hip transplant will be obtained and used in the TLEM model.
