Project Manager: prof. dr. Pieter Hartel
The INAETICS project aims at the innovative improvement of technical systems, that need to be available for economical, societal or security reasons. Examples are: radar sensor systems for security applications, energy networks, production systems for oil and gas, and other systems that need to function under all circumstances, e.g., time critical systems.
The right design of these systems is very often of vital importance. The risks of attacks from outside (for example hackers or viruses) increases, as the extent and complexity of systems. Large quantities of data are being exchanged and processed centrally, and thus more sensitive for failures. Current architectures are not fully equipped to handle this: robustness is essential.
INAETICS aims at creating economic chances by improving the operation of time-critical systems.
