Siemens (1)

Anna Eliseeva, trainee

My responsibilities at Siemens are twofold. First of all I participate in the ERP system change within the financial department, which basically means: business processes analysis, system testing, planning. Secondly, I assist the senior staff in their tasks. The traineeship allowed me to obtain knowledge of very different processes within the financial field, and due to this knowledge to be more effective within a change project. Because of the structure of my responsibilities, good time management is essential. Therefore, I’ve learnt to do many different things in parallel and to be able to switch quickly from one to another. The Connect training sessions helped me to cope with cultural differences and improve my communication skills within a Dutch working environment. The traineeship is a perfect opportunity to see if the trainee and company match, both ways. Siemens and I gave it a try and it worked out. My contract has been extended and I will continue to work on the project.

Leo Kleinheerenbrink, Head of Finance and Accounting Siemens Nederland, Hengelo

Anna Eliseeva assists in operational financial activities of our department, and supports the implementation of the SAP Atlas system. Anna is a most enthusiastic employee. From the very first moment she was very decisive in her wish to speak Dutch all the time, even though she did not speak the language perfectly. She is a fast learner. She will keep working at least half a year longer than planned, and then we will see if there are possibilities for her within Siemens. As for the traineeship programme: things went so well that there was no need for additional support from Saxion, but it’s always good to know that the university stays involved. I would definitely repeat the experience, the level of trainees is very high and they are easily employable.
