Stefan Kuhlmann (STePS/UT) in High-Level Expert Group evaluating FP7

The European Commission has set-up an independent High-Level Expert Group to carry out an ex - post evaluation of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7, 2007-2014, more than 55 billion Euros spent) two years after its completion (1982/2006/EC - Article 7(3)). Professor Stefan Kuhlmann, STePS, is a member of the Expert Group. The Commission is required to communicate the conclusions of this external evaluation to the European Parliament, the Council, the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions. The Expert Group, chaired by Prof. Louise Fresco, President of Wageningen University, will evaluate rationale, implementation and achievements (including its wider socio-economic impacts) of the framework programme. The results of this evaluation will be used to inform stakeholders about main achievements of FP7, improve implementation of the Horizon 2020 programme and provide input for the design of the next generation research programme after 2020.
