The Netherlands ministry of security and justice is curious what impact to expect from emerging nanotechnologies for its safety and security partners such as the police, fire service, etc. For this reason, its scientific research and documentation centre (nl: Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek- en Documentatiecentrum , WODC) placed a call for an academic study, which was won by the UT.
