Dena Shortall:

I started my bachelor degree in Psychology at the University of Strathclyde in 2013. I have just completed my third year and after the summer I will be starting my final year of my undergraduate degree. So far I have covered topics such as; social psychology, psychobiology, individual differences and personality. I am attending the University of Twente over summer to work on placement in the Conflict, Risk and Safety department in order to learn more about research in psychology and to gain more practical experience. I am interested in a career in either forensic or clinical psychology and have recently started voluntary work in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in Edinburgh. I also volunteer for a student helpline at the University of Strathclyde, which has helped me gain some experience in mental health. I hope to go on to do a masters in either forensic or clinical psychology after I graduate next year.
