Mr. Buter holds a post as associate partner at IBM-Business Consulting Services and is specialised in purchasing/logistics issues in industries, trade organisations, banks, insurance firms and non-profit institutions. Assignments he carries out range from strategic advice to actual implementation of suggested improvements. For IBM-BCS he is also coordinating the purchasing activities in EMEA.
In addition, Mr. Buter is part-time lecturer at the University of Twente on the subject of purchasing management and editor of the manual Professional Purchasing Management. He held many lectures on purchasing and logistics and he is responsible for several publications.
