Sina Behfard, PhD candidate from the University of Twente, department Industrial Engineering and Business Information Systems, won the best poster award at the Beta-TRAIL Conference 2012, held in Rotterdam on October 30-31. Sina received the prize for the poster titled “Integrated Last Time Buy and Re-Use of Spares for Capital Goods”.
Beta-TRAIL Conference 2012
Within the Beta and TRAIL research schools, Erasmus University of Rotterdam, Delft University of Technology, Eindhoven University of Technology, University of Twente and Radboud University Nijmegen collaborate. TRAIL and Beta organized the joint congress in collaboration with the Dutch Institute for Advances Logistics (DINALOG) and the 3TU-initiative SCIMM (Supply Chains, Innovative Mainports and Mobility). During the conference, scientists and PhD students presented their findings on mobility and logistics. The topics covered various fields of research within Beta and TRAIL, such as transport and mobility, infrastructure and traffic (including traffic management), supply chain management and logistics, ICT, human behaviour and innovation aspects.
