Some points of attention for the Bachelor Thesis Conference and graduation on Friday 10 November 2016!
1. Final thesis submission
According to the planning you have to upload the final version of your thesis 24 October 2016 to UT repository. For instructions click here. The deadline is set on 17:00 am. UT policy is that your thesis will be accessible for everyone. If there is a reason to have restricted publication, approval of the examination board is necessary for the decision about confidential status of a thesis. The UT library will take care of it, but also will check with the programme/examination board. You have to send your supervisors the final version of your thesis at the deadline you agreed on with them. It is important that you have a clear agreement with your supervisor about the version that may published as your final BSc thesis. Only after your final version is uploaded your BSc thesis project can be finished and a Diploma can be given! You also have to submit your final version to the programme coordinator firstname.lastname@example.org before 7 November 2016. Your thesis needs to be available on the website of the conference on 10 November 2016.
2. Programme of 10 November 2016
Invite your guests and let us know how many guests will join you. Please do so before 3 November 2016 the latest. We like to have an inspiring and interesting day together with you and your guests! We will publish a schedual of the sessions a.s.a.p. As soon as the green light decisions are known, we will come up with a draft version on Blackboard. The final schedule will be published on the conference site and blackboard site on Monday 7 November 2016 the latest.
3. Presentation of Theses on 10 November 2016
4. Graduation Ceremony
We offer this ceremony also to students who present their thesis on 10 November, but do not graduate yet because they have to finish one or more courses. We would like these students and their guest to join us. They will receive a certificate instead of a diploma, so they are also part of the signing ceremony. Before the ceremony (16.00h) starts, all guests are asked to enter room RA1501 to find a seat. All students who defended their thesis have to wait outsite, because they enter the room together. During the ceremony pictures will be taken by a professional photographer. The picture will be taken when you receive your diploma/certificate. However, during the sessions your guests are welcome to take pictures of you, so tell them to bring their camera!
5. Practical aspects
If you travel by car you can park at P1 and P2. A map of the campus can be found here. Your are welcome in building 10 (Ravelijn). Please be aware there is a parking policy at the Campus!
