Some points of attention for the coming Bachelor Thesis Conference and graduation on Friday 1 July 2016!

1. Final thesis submission

According to the planning you have to upload the final version of your thesis Monday 27 June 2016 to UT repository. For instructions click here. The deadline is set on 9:00 am. UT policy is that your thesis will be accessible for everyone. If there is a reason to have restricted publication, approval of the examination board is necessary for the decision about confidential status of a thesis. The UT library will take care of it, but also will check with the programme/examination board. You have to send your supervisors the final version of your thesis at the deadline you agreed on with them. It is important that you have a clear agreement with your supervisor about the version that may published as your final BSc thesis. Only after your final version is uploaded your BSc thesis project can be finished and a Diploma can be given! You also have to submit your final version to the programme coordinator before 28 June. Your thesis needs to be available on the website of the conference on 1 July 2016.

2. Programme of 1 July 2016

Invite your guests and let us know via this application form how many guests will join you. Please do so before Monday 23 June at the latest. We like to have an inspiring and interesting day together with you and your guests! We will publish a schedual of the parallel session around Monday 27 June 2016. As soon as the green light decisions are known, we will come up with a draft version on Blackboard. The final schedule will be published on the conference site and blackboard site, Monday 27 June the latest.

3. Presentation of Theses on 1 July 2016

You are expected to present your thesis in English. Sessions are units. You and your guests are expected to participate in them as a whole. Students are expected to and their guest are kindly asked to participate in the discussions after presentations. As a student you are responsible to upload your presentation on the desktop of the computer in the room where you will present your thesis before the session starts (preferably 30 minutes beforehand)!

4. Graduation Ceremony

We offer this ceremony also to students who present their thesis on 1 July, but do not graduate yet because they have to finish one or more courses. We would like these students and their guest to join us, so please fill in the application form. They will receive a certificate instead of a diploma, so they are also part of the signing ceremony. Before the ceremony (15.30h) all guests are asked to enter room Waaier 1-2 and to find a seat. All students who defended their thesis are expected to wait downstairs in the Waaier for an entrance together! Be there at 15.15h! During the ceremony pictures will be taken by a professional photographer. The picture will be taken when you receive your diploma/certificate. However, during the sessions your guests are welcome to take pictures of you, so tell them to bring their camera! After 1 July 2016 you are all invited to share your favorite picture of the day with us via to publish on the conference website for your fellow students.

5. Practical aspects

If you travel by car you can park at P1 and P2. A map of the campus can be found here. Please be aware there is a parking policy at the Campus!

6. Student experience within IBA: guestbook

Lastly, at the conference a guestbook will be present in which all of you could write a final comment or thought about your experience as an IBA student at the UT or about how you liked the conference. Feel free to leave a note in this book on 1July 2016!
