GENERAL INFORMATION

Annemieke Konijnendijk (1985) studied Psychology – Health and Safety (Bachelor 2007, Master 2008) at the University of Twente. In 2008, she completed her master thesis in which the influence of the social environment on behavioral warning compliance was studied. After graduating, she worked for almost a year (2009) as a junior policy member at the department of Strategy and Communication at Twente University and for almost two years (2009-2011) as a staff member at the department of Knowledge Management at the mental healthcare organization Dimence.

Annemieke started to work as a PhD Candidate in May 2011 at the departments of Public Administration and HTSR. Between 2011 and 2015, Annemieke combined her PhD-research with an appointment as staff member at the department of Preventive Child Healthcare at the municipal health services in Twente (GGD). In November 2015, Annemieke started as a researcher at the department of HTSR.

RESEARCH

Projects:

PhD-project. This project takes place in the setting of the Academic Workplace Youth Twente. The title of the PhD project is: Fragile, Please Handle With Care. Understanding and supporting professionals'​ responding to child abuse and neglect. The research project has three parts. The first part focusses on child healthcare professionals'​ adherence to national guidelines on child abuse and neglect and reasons for (non)adherence. The second part concerns the development and evaluation of a digital tool to support professionals responding according to the guidelines on child abuse and neglect in preventive child health care. In the last part of the PhD-project, professionals' practices, facilitators and barriers with regard to requesting information from other child-serving agencies when they suspect child abuse or neglect are studied.

Development and implementation of a clinical guideline for preventive child healthcare professionals on developmental dysplasia of the hip. In this project University of Twente cooperates with TNO and experts in the field of developmental dysplasia of the hip.

Both projects are funded by ZonMW.
