Eelco Bredenhoff is a PhD student at the University of Twente, School of Management and Governance, department of Science, Technology, Health and Policy Studies (STeHPS). He concluded his Master in Business Information Technology at the University of Twente, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science in 2003.

His research concentrates upon the organization of hospital care delivered in (general) hospitals. Topics studied are the application of principles from manufacturing in hospital care, and questions of divisionalization or centralization. Central theme in his research is the so-called ‘focused factory’ concept. Research partner is the Dutch teaching hospital Reinier de Graaf Groep of Delft.

In his spare time Eelco is member of the general board of foundation IAPC. Foundation IAPC is a non-profit organization that aims to promote the use of IT by members of the University of Twente’s community.
