2006 Summer Lecture Series

The Center for Higher Education Policy Studies (CHEPS) in conjunction with the Center for Research in Higher Education Policy (CIPES) have organised the 2006 summer lecture series. The topic for this year was:

Prof. Dr. Peter Weingart

Professor of sociology and Director of the Institute for Science and Technology Studies – University of Bielefeld, Germany

Dr. Don Westerheijden

Senior Research Associate at the Center for Higher Education Policy Studies (CHEPS), University of Twente, The Netherlands

In bringing together these leading European policy experts, our goal is to provide participants with a stronger understanding of the key topics dominating the expanding European higher education and research agenda as well as how those issues will shape the formation of policy in the years ahead.

These lecture series took place from the 3rd to the 7th of July in Oporto, Portugal.
