Honours: Jürgen Enders member of the Academia Europæa

Professor Jürgen Enders has been elected as a member of Academia Europaea, an eminent organisation for European scholars. The non-governmental academy was founded in Cambridge in 1988 as the European Academy of Sciences, Humanities and Letters. It has about 2300 members, including over 40 Nobel Laureates, from 35 European countries and 8 non-European countries. Membership is by invitation only. A three stage election process is followed to select the top scientists and scholars in different fields including the section of the social sciences in which Jürgen Enders has become a member. Academia Europaea advises European institutions, national governments and international agencies on matters concerning science, scholarship and academic life in Europe.
