The Summer Lecture Series
The weeklong program will cater primarily to Masters and PhD students as well as junior policymakers. Our goal is to bring together policy experts from major European organizations that focus or work on European-wide higher education and research issues and provide participants with insight into the key topics that are dominating the European agenda.
The series’ format will focus on providing a balanced mix of lectures, interactive discussion/debate and problem-based exercises. Through problem-based simulations and interactive lectures that balance academic rigor with real world problems, participants can get a better understanding of how the complex interactions between students, faculty, institutions and governments are shaping contemporary policy decisions. From an academic standpoint the SLS will offer students the chance to develop or refine research questions that are salient to ongoing policy work.
