Measuring performance of applied research and development
This study looks into the development of performance measuring mechanisms in the area of applied research. The project primarily focuses on the development of the “lectorates” within the Dutch universities of professional education (HBO-institutions). It provides insights in both development of a performance measuring mechanism at the national level with regard to these “lectorates” as well as in a instrument that aims to develop an internal institutional quality culture. In addition, the report provides a brief overview of the major developments towards the applied research performance measurement in a number of countries.
