Higher education and the labour market
The project addresses the connections between higher education and the labour market with the focus on changing demands, changes in the roles of graduates and the utilization of competences in different occupational settings. The labour market is in this research not primarily classified in a neo-classical economic context, but rather the emphasis is on the social constitutions of labour markets. In particular, the focus is on identifying the institutional elements and procedures of higher education systems to which academic labour markets are subjected. The analysis is international in scope. Both quantitative and qualitative data will be used from the TSER-project "Careers after Higher Education".
