The impact of the Erasmus Programme

In this two-year project (starting April 2003), commissioned by the European Commission, the impact of the Erasmus Programme will be assessed, both at the institutional level (first part of analysis) and at the national policy level (second part of analysis). PricewaterhouseCoopers and CHEPS will carry out the project. In the first part the focus is on the impact of the implementation of the second generation of European Policy Statements (EPS) included in the Erasmus institutional contracts. All thirty countries participating in the Socrates programme are included. In the second part the evaluation we will focus on the impact of Erasmus (1987 – now) on national higher education policy-making in the fifteen EC countries, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein.
