Sources of information for study choice
Good information is crucial for prospective students in higher education to make their choice regarding programme and institution. The Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science commissioned CHEPS to analyse the situation regarding the provision of such information in a number of Western countries. What information is provided, in what form, by whom, and to whom? These are the four leading questions in this study. The first stage is a quick scan in ten countries to identify the main student choice information products. In the second stage, in-depth case studies were carried out for Australia, England, and Germany. The final report was published in 2004 by the Ministry of Education.
