Globalizing practices and university responses
This project concerns the issue of globalisation and its consequences on higher education institutions in the Netherlands, Norway, France and the United States. An international group of scholars (Jan Currie, Richard DeAngelis, Harry de Boer, Jeroen Huisman and Claude Lacotte) reflect upon this phenomenon from different perspectives. The outcomes of their analyses are published in the following book (2003): Globalizing practices and university responses. European and Anglo-American differences. This book contains chapters on the relationships between globalisation and various elements of the higher education fabric: accountability, governance structures, tenure, ICT use, and privatisation.
