General Information pre-Master Programme

GENERAL INFORMATION PRE-MASTER BA PROGRAMME

The Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences offers a Business Administration pre-Master programme that helps students transferring from similar courses at institutes of higher education (HBO) or other universities to make up any deficiencies they may have. The pre-Master programme is not a standard package; courses to be taken by a student are determined on a case-by-case basis according to the needs of the individual student and depends on the candidate’s previous education.

The pre-Master’s programme for students with a preliminary HBO Bachelor is normally worth 30 EC and is given each semester in English. Generally, a half (15 EC) of the pre-Master’s for HBO graduates will consist of training in research methods and techniques. This involves 3 courses, each worth 5 EC (see the table below). It is required that students’ mathematical knowledge and English language skills are of VWO (pre-university) level.

Please Note:

The pre-Master programme must be completed within 12 months after commencement. Each student is given two chances to pass the exams for each course. If you do not complete the Pre-Master programme within 12 months, you may not register for the Master BA programme. If this is the case, but you are able to prove that due to personal circumstances you could not complete the programme, you can then submit a request to the Admission Committee for an exemption via the study advisor. Any personal circumstance that may affect the progress of your course of study must be reported immediately to your study advisor.
