Study Programme (2015-2016)

This website contains the study programme for ‘regular students’ starting in September 2015 (Tables A and A+B), ‘regular students’ starting in February 2016 (Tables B and A+B), students who follow a Double Degree programme with TU-Berlin (Tables C1 and C2), and students who follow a Double Degree Programme with Lappeenranta UT (Tables D1 and D2). This is a draft until the dean of the faculty of BMS formally determined the programme (per 1 September 2015). Please check the ‘Teaching and Examination Regulations 2015-2016’ for the precise study programme including the required prior knowledge for the courses stated below.

The way to read the study programme is that you select which tables are relevant for you. The core courses in the tables are part of your exam programme. These core courses can only be exchanged with courses that are labeled ‘Alternative allowed’ for that specific course (e.g. Accounting and Financial Management (Q1) can be exchanged with Entrepreneurial Finance (Q3) for reasons of content-specific interests, planning issues or labour market preparation). Exchanging these courses will still mean you are able to meet the Intended Learning Outcomes (see Teaching and Exam Regulations) and therefore earn a diploma. Electives are free to choose from the list in the relevant table.

If you feel the urge to deviate from the study programme: the only body that can permit deviations is the Exam Board. In that case, please plan carefully and send a well-argumented request to the Exam Board, with or without an advice of the study advisor.

Given the importance of planning your study path, all students have to plan their study ahead and need to fill in their study planning before 1 October 2015. This will be formalized in an Intended Learning Agreement (ILA). Both the student and the programme management will be involved in this agreement. For questions, please consult your study advisor (mrs. C.G.M. Röring).

Transition rules, referring to (parts of) prior study programmes, are also included in this document. Please read this carefully as well.
