Oxford Advanced Learner's Compass

Employees have to use Zenworks when installing this application onto their workstation.

In order to use this database, you have to comply to the following criteria:

• use an Active Directory Account
• use Windows XP professional edition, or higher (for accessing the secure database-server)

The Oxford Advanced Learner's Compass database is locally installed on your computer. Depending on your computer and/or connection speed, this might take some time.
Installing this database will take approximately 500Mb of diskspace.
The Oxford Advanced Learner's Compass is added to the startup menu. Also an startup icon is placed onto your desktop.


Warning, when using this software outside the Domain, authentication for this server is required. copy and paste: \\win096.service.utwente.nl , into the run box, accessible via the Windows startbutton (or, in Windows 7, the search box which appears when clicking on the start-button) . An authentication screen wil appear. Fill in: Domain/username and corresponding password. (the student Domain is now: AD)
When using Firefox or Chrome, the link does not work properly; in that case copy and paste:
file:\\win096.service.utwente.nl\ox_dic\OALC7.msi
into the run box, accessible via the Windows startbutton. (or, in Windows 7, the search box which appears when clicking on the start-button). Authentication is required, see the lines above for details.
