Course description

This course focuses on the thermodynamic equilibrium of ideal and non-ideal systems. The course starts with the Maxwell relationships. It continues with properties of mixtures in particular the partial molar properties and the chemical potential. The concept and the importance of the chemical potential will explained in detail for mixtures and their physical-chemical properties. The description of thermodynamic properties of ionic solutions is also included.
